We Were Friends

  • Emerson House Barn 28 Cambridge Turnpike Concord, MA, 01742 (map)

This summer, the award-winning Firelight Theatre Workshop returns to Concord with two of its twelve installments of We Were Friends. This episodic project is Firelight’s playful reimagining of Margaret Fuller and Ralph Waldo Emerson’s profound, platonic friendship, set in today’s world. Episode 4: Middle of the Dial: Partners explores empathy, image, and family as Margaret and Waldo face the “Crisis” in their relationship.

Sponsored by the Concord Museum, this short play will be performed in the Emerson Barn on July 17th. Tickets are $15 for members and $25 for non-members.

Episode 8: Commitment: Big Hearts will be performed on August 14th at the Concord Museum. There is a $2 discount for purchasing tickets to both the July and August episodes of We Were Friends. Find more information and reserve tickets here.
